Captain Charlie has over 50 years of experience as a commercial fisherman working the waters throughout the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico. During that time he has overcome hurdles and breached barriers while advocating for local seafood. Today, he’s training the next generation of young black fishermen.

Captain Charlie recently joined Farm Aid board members Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Margo Price and more on the Farm Aid stage. They shared a video about the impacts of climate change on the ocean for thousands of festivalgoers.
